It is a process in which the absorbed energy of a substance is released relatively slowly inn the form of light. One example of this is the glow in the dark stick. The stick will glow even brighter if it is exposed in a light material. Another example that is a phosphorescent associated in algal division are the Pyrocystis fusiformis.
