So u see how your parents can run your debit or credit card if you're a minor, like they can withdraw money or check what you've spent money on, i heard u can own a prepaid or savings card, run it by yourself and don't need their permission to do how true is this? (which one is better? )

I own a Greendot card. You can get them at stores like the dollar store. You can place like 20+ dollars on it and at the dollar store it only costs a dollar to add money to your card. You do need an 18-year-old to add money though. You can also download the app and it shows you your amount, your transactions, and you get a cashback bonus. Setting up the app with the card is kinda difficult sense you might have to use your parent's name and social security number etc. Just ask and they might be okay with it but either way, you don't NEED the app. Its a really good card and it's helpful when getting started owning money on your own and buying stuff without asking for your parent's credit card.
