You are the manager of a fast-food franchise in Los Angeles. Your corporate office is in Chicago. On August 20th, one of your employees comes to you with a vacation request. The employee’s available vacation time expires on September 1st, however she wants to take her vacation between September 20th through the 25th.

She asks you to submit her vacation request to the corporate office for the week prior to September 1st, and wants you to not schedule her for the days between the 20th and 25th, and she wants her "vacation" pay for those days.
