Premise: Porsche is a German automobile manufacturing company that is specialized in high-tech
sports cars, SUVs and sedans. The headquarters of Porsche AG is in Stuttgart, Germany.
Porsche was initially using product diversification strategy of growing into similar
product and now it is growing its business geographically using geographic
diversification strategy from Germany into the USA, Canada and China. Geographical
diversification is the practice of diversifying an investment portfolio across different
geographic regions in order to reduce the overall risk and improve returns. This method
can be used by both private investors and companies to limit their risk exposure to
political, environmental and economic changes.
