Lydia has reread a paragraph several times and still does not understand what is happening in the story. Lydia should try to use a strategy, such as making a mental picture of the paragraph’s events. keep going until she gets to the end of the entire book. reread the paragraph three more times. ask herself, “Does this make sense?”

I don’t really know what you’re asking, but I’m going to say for her not to do this. If she doesn’t understand what is happening in the story, I’m sure her making mental pictures won’t work either.

I suggest reading the book in small sections and re-read those parts to see if she can better understand it. After that, she can write what she thinks down and use what she wrote down as a summary to answer whatever she needs to do.
