pathways. In fact, most hospitals have hundreds of different positions and each
position works to support the other. For example, an operating room nurse and a
surgeon are both involved when a patient needs their appendix taken out.
Explain the difference in education between these two positions. What skills or
talents might the surgeon have that help her do her job? What skills might the
nurse have? Do they have any in common? List three more professionals that
might be involved in caring for this patient.
