Garth, a struggling songwriter with a dream, finally had a song cut by a "name" singer. He's sure the money will be rolling in soon, and he and Trisha, his wife, won't have to
use their credit cards for living expenses anymore. Meanwhile, he has a great idea.
They'll get an equity line of credit, pay off their cards, and have a nice tax deduction
when their tax rate rises, which it is surely going to do. That doesn't feel right to Trisha,
