The New Mexico State Fair Board is contemplating constructing a horticulture exhibit that will open in time for the next state fair. The fair board is considering an admission fee of $3.00 per visitor. Regardless of the number of visitors, the fair board would pay $15,732 for construction of the exhibit and $11,550 for staffing/labor during the time the exhibit is open. Each visitor will get an information packet estimated to cost $.54. Complimentary refreshments – estimated to cost $1.14 per person – will be available to visitors at the end of the exhibit. The exhibit is expected to last for just one state fair season.
