Investment decision- The decision of investment was made for a Mobile (Smartphone) repair services company. there have been two ways of revenue stream.

Revenue from repairing mobile phones.

Revenue from annual maintenance contracts (AMC). This included other increased benefits sort of a backup phone for patrons during repairs, free screen guard, etc.

1) The concept of supply and demand impacted the investment decision within the following ways-

The first three years 2015 to 2018, the business was growing because the demand for mobile service was growing thanks to the boom within the smartphone industry. the bulk of the complaints received were of the broken mobile screens. The mobile screens are delicate and therefore the mobile is such a handy device that it often keeps falling from your hand damaging the screen. After the warranty, the authorized service centers charge a hefty fee for screen replacement and repair. This increased the demand for our mobile repair services which were cheaper compared to the authorized service centers.

In the year 2019, the business started dropping because smartphone companies started launching cheaper phones. Now, there wasn't much of a difference between the cost of repair and a replacement phone. therefore the demand for repairs started taking place. The revenues started dropping then did the profitability.  

Initially, the Investment decision appeared to be lucrative, as there was a requirement within the smartphone repair and repair industry. But suddenly within the third year, there was a drop in this demand for mobile repair and repair, because the supply of mobile repairers and cheaper smartphones increased.

First, let's understand the value of cash - This principle is predicated on the thinking that cash in hand has more value compared to the worth that's shown within the future. For example- Many investors make their investment decision supported by the present offering of return on investment instead of counting on the longer term. the longer-term promise could seem uncertain to them, in order that they might prefer keeping their money in saving A/C and earn interest, rather than investing during a company that's projecting profit within the future.  

I would use my problem-solving skill (especially critical thinking strategies) to rethink the choice within the future by following ways-

Critical thinking strategies involve understanding the matter supported reasoning. For this one must analyze a drag supported proper research, using examples and supporting to know the matter better. Asking various questions associated with the matter can help.

Now as per the case study here, an investor must consider the value of the cash principle to gauge the longer-term return on investment. While evaluating, one must ask questions like How long it'll deem the corporate to interrupt even, what would be the ROI (return on investment), what's the longer term of this business, How long will the industry survive, etc.

As per the case of investing within the mobile repair company, one has got to evaluate supported the longer term of the industry. Like for example- How long will the mobile repair industry flourish.
