Pam is negotiating a business deal with NexCor. Several executives from NexCor are flying in to her city for a full day of meetings prior to finalizing the deal. Pam contracts with Joyce to pick up the executives at the airport and bring them to her office. Joyce asks Eric, who is in the business of providing this type of transportation service, to pick them up. Eric has a scheduling conflict and is not able to pick up the executives. As a result, they waste several hours in the airport and miss some of their meetings. This makes a bad impression on them, and they decide not to finalize the deal. Pam wants to hold someone responsible for this loss. a. If Pam were to sue Eric, she would likely not be successful as he did not sign a contract with Joyce so the delegation was not valid.
b. If Pam were to sue Joyce for her loss she may be successful, as Eric did not sign a contract with Joyce so the delegation was not valid.
c. If Pam were to sue Joyce for her loss she would likely not be successful, as Joyce is no longer responsible once she delegated to Eric.
d. If Pam were to sue Joyce for her loss she may be successful, as Joyce remains liable since her delegate did not perform the contractual duties.
