This is a hard question to answer simply because of the wording. I think what you mean is that you want to establish good credit after having a bad credit report. If that is the case, there are several things you can do.

Use your credit card for only 1 purpose. Ours is for gasoline. If one of us fills up the car, the other is told immediately that that has happened. We pay the credit card immediately. All of it.

Second
Use a credit card only for expenses that you normally incur like utilities. If you are in the habit of visiting a utilities once a month to pay your gas or electricity bill, use a credit card and not a money order. The same rule applies. Pay it off immediately.

Third
Make sure that you can do anytime banking. Or if you don't like using your computer, make arrangements with the institution you owe monthly bills to to be able to let them draw money out of your account. Know which companies will allow you to do that. (Most utilities and big institutions can do that sort of thing).  Make a budget and subtract these amounts immediately from the budget. That money is not yours. It's theirs. Don't spend what you don't hve.

The only dangerous one is 4. Try never to make partial payments. These are costly and the interest can keep you in the poor house.
