Below there are two nitrogen containing molecules. the molecule on the left is called an amine, and the molecule on the right is an amide (we will learn more about what these names mean soon). a. add in missing lone pairs to both molecules. b. one of these structures has a resonance contributor. identify the structure with resonance and provide the following: structure of resonance contributor, resonance hybrid structure. c. for each nitrogen atom determine the hybridization and provide the orbital function of all orbitals present on nitrogen. what is the geometry of each nitrogen atom? d. draw an orbital picture to show the location of the lone pairs on nitrogen atoms.
