What potential and harmful effects can acetic acids have on you? and what consumable products use this acid?

the potential harmful effects that it can have on you are that it can cause ph balances to go out of wack when eaten too much, and when the pH level is too high, it can burn through skin, and clothing, dissolving it into nothing.  

   Some major uses of this acid are in pickles, and vinegar.  This acid is also found in citrus fruits.
