This is a technique experiment, so you do not need to include a chemical reaction (even though you will be exploiting acid and base reactions throughout this experiment). As part of your normal pre-lab in your notebook, complete the flow chart showing each step of the separation procedure to show which compounds go where in each step. Each step should be a balanced chemical equation.
