In a subduction zone, the molten rock begins to move to the surface. Why does this occur?
because magma is so heavy
because hot magma is less dense than cold rocks and will float toward the surface.
it is being squeezed out of the lower rock layers and pushed toward the surface. Temperature has nothing to do with it.
