1. A 1.186 g sample of a weak acid, HB, in 50.00 mL of solution required 75.00mL of KOH (0.200 M) to reach the equivalence point. After the additional of 15.00 mL of KOH the pH was found to be 3.78.
a) Determine the molar mass and Ka value for the weak acid ,HB.
b) Determine the pH of the solution at the equivalence point.
c) What was the pH of the original acid solution before any KOH was added.
d) What would have been the pH of the solution after the addition of 30.00 mL of KOH to the original 50.00 mL solution of the acid HB?
e) What would have been the pH of the solution after the addition of 80.00 mL of KOH to the original 50.00 mL solution of the acid HB?
