An African game warden recently found several rhinoceros tusks. Because rhinos are endangered, all animals are tracked and the warden knows which animals live in the wild and which live in captivity. The warden suspected that poachers had stolen several captive rhinos and killed them for their tusks. The warden took the tusks with attached tissue for DNA analysis to determine if the rhinos were stolen from the preserve and if he could prosecute the poachers.
