Metals are malleable and ductile. What do these properties indicate about the bonds that hold metal atoms together ?

The branch of science which deals with chemicals and bonds is called chemistry.

The ductile is defined as that metal is converted into a long thin wire.

The malleable is defined as that metal is converted into a thin sheet.

Both these properties are important properties of metals. The metal has this property because they have weak attraction forces for electrons and they can lose it easily which states that they have a weaker bond.

Hence, this is the reason why metal has these properties.
