Subtract  equation III and IV;

        -15y - 48y = 90 - 216

         - 63y = -126

                y = 2

Solve for x;

      40x - 15y = 90;

       40x - 15(2) = 90

         40x - 30 = 90

           40x = 90 + 30

              40x = 120

                 x = 3
