The ceiling fan in my room can be the representation of the model of an atom.

The model of the atom has consisted of the nucleus, which has been consisted of the protons and the neutrons. The protons and neutrons consisting nucleus can resemble the motor of the fan.

Thus, a ceiling fan can be an ordinary object, that resembles the model of the atom.

A round chandelier

Explanation:

In my room, there is a round or circular chandelier  that  could represent a  model of an atom.

The circular chandelier has a light around it and there is a huge light in the center as well. The lights have surrounded the center light in a circular form that represents the electrons in orbitals and the huge bulb in the center represents the nucleus. As, neutrons and protons are located inside the nucleus so, the filaments or particles inside the center bulb or light represents neutrons and protons.

answer : a model is often used to explain and make things easier to understand when any scientific topic needs to be demonstrated and explained.

as in this case where a scientist wants to use a model to present the results of his detailed scientific investigation. he should do it as it will him to make the audience understand the concept in a much better way. also, it can be changed according to new scientific understandings.
