I disagree with Evan's explanation for chemical change with regards to formation of bubbles.

Explanation:

Chemical change usually affects the chemical composition, whereas physical change only affects the appearance of the substance and is easily reversible.

The bubbling water is just going through change of phase, but its overall chemical composition isn't altered, Hence, it is a physical change, and not chemical.
