What is the difference between mixtures and compounds? i am trying to study for my science quiz on tuesday, and i need to know the difference between the two. also, my teacher used cake as an example, but i am confused on which one it is because if you just mixed it in a bowl, it would be a mixture right? but if it's baked, it would be a compound right?
