Approximately 27% of America's electricity is generated by the combustion of coal. During this combustion reaction, carbon reacts with oxygen gas (02) to produce carbon dioxide. The CO2 produced by this combustion reaction exits power plants all across the United
States and reacts with water in the surrounding atmosphere. The chemical formed by the reaction of water and carbon dioxide falls with wate
droplets to produce a dangerous phenomenon known as acid rain. Acid rain
is responsible for billions of dollars of damage to buildings by creating corrosive, low pH situations.
Model the process by which acid rain is formed and how the pH of a lake could be affected in the space below.

1.) Show the chemical reaction equations for all reactions in the prompt
2.) Show the Lewis Dot Structures, or your ſuybrid models, for the products formed in the reactions

Predict the reactants of this chemical reaction. that is, fill in the left side of the chemical equation. be sure the equation you submit is balanced. (you can edit both sides of the equation to balance it, if you need to.) note: you are writing the molecular, and not the net ionic equation. > cacl2(aq) + h20(l)
