· Application 1. Ferric chloride solution is mixed with ammonium
carbonate solution to give ferric carbonate
precipitate and ammonium chloride.
2. Hydrochloric acid solution is added to iron(ll) and
produce ferrous chloride and hydrogen gas.
3. Sodium hydroxide is mixed with ammonium
chloride solution and produce ammonia (NH3)
gas, water and sodium chloride.
For each of the above chemical reactions
a) Write ionic equation& net ionic equation.
b) Deduce compatible & incompatible ions.
