You decide to do an experiment at home. You take a cup of steaming hot water, and place it in the freezer overnight. When you open the fridge in the morning, you notice there is a lot of ice on the roof of the freezer. Using a particle theory, please explain what happened.

In this experiment, the cup of steaming hot water directly emits a large amount of water vapour which had condensed on the roof of the freezer. These water vapour molecules had condensed to such an extent that they became solidified, i.e; Ice.
