6. Hydrogen Emission Spectrum: Hydrogen gas (in a tube) is activated with electricity and begins to glow la gas light bulb). Then the light given off passes through a prism-like paper which separates the light

spectrum of an element. In Hydrogen's emission spectrum, there is a line of light with 690 nm
(nanometers) wavelength and a line of light at 480 nm (we consider only these two for simplicity). One
of these is due to an electron jumping from n=4 to n=1 and another is due to an electron jumping from
n=2 to n=1. Use the above info, the picture of Hydrogen emission spectrum on pg.292 and the diagram
on pg.288 to answer the following:
