The spinning of the electrons causes a magnetic field. The higher the number of electrons that spin in one particular direction, the stronger the magnetic field. The direction of electron spins determines the direction of the magnetic field.
Electricity and magnetism are two interconnected forces, and their relationship is electromagnetism. This means that when an electrical current flows through a conductor, it induces a magnetic field, which can be registered, for example, by registering the moving of a compass needle. Also, the magnetic field can induce electrical current in the conductor.
