can someone please explain this <3 so i learned that CO3 (carbonate) is an oxyanion correct? knowing that if you take away one oxygen, it becomes carbonite (CO2) instead of carbonate , but isnt CO2 also known as carbon dioxide? how would i know if someones is refering to carbon dioxide or carbonite when they use CO2 ?
