Read this excerpt from the play An Adventure for Detective Dennis: WILMA: (Politely) Good evening, Dennis and Sandra. I'm so glad you asked to speak with me about my work at the library. I am partially blind, so I volunteer to help children with visual disabilities learn to enjoy books, whether they are large print books, audiobooks, or books written in Braille. Many stay right until the library closes. Since many of my students cannot see the call numbers on the books, I put them away myself. Besides, I've read so many of these books myself that the library feels like a second home. Sometimes the library helpers forget about me, but I don't blame them. They want to go home after a long day, and the doors don't lock from the inside. The only problem I had was a couple of nights ago. I heard shoes squeaking and banging noises. When the noises stopped, I ran out the door. I'm sure it was just my imagination running wild.
