Procedure:
1. Find an open area and measure a length of 10 meters. Use masking tape to mark a starting line at Om and a
finish line at 10 m
**if you are completing this experiment at home, you can estimate one meter to be approximately equal to four
lengths of your own foot, heel to toe.
**If you are completing this experiment at home and do not have 10 m of space, use as much as you can
2. Perform each movement described in the data table, time it, and record the times it takes for each of the three
trials
3. Repeat Step 2 above until your data table is full
4 Find the average time for each motion
5 We will all use 50 kg as the approximate mass of each racer
6. Calculate speed and kinetic energy for all scenarios. See the information above to review the formulas for
each
7. On the next pago, create the graphs of the average kinetic energy vs. speed for each movement
