HELP ME PLZ Why ban Styrofoam?
Styrofoam, also known as "polystyrene" is created through a process from natural plant resin
(excretions) and fossil fuels. It does not break down, or biodegrade, it gets ingested by many wildlife,
and many facilities to not accept it as a recyclable material. It is very widely used because it's easy to
make. However, many major cities such as New York City and Washington, DC have banned the use
of polystyrene cups, bowls, and trays in an effort to stop its production. Think about the effects of its
production on society and explain why banning the material is a positive effort. (2-3 sentences)
