well here is an example for starters of endothermic (when a ice is melting) when ice is melting it is releasing heat due to the temperature around it. another example would be photosysthesis because the plants are ABSORBING HEAT from the sun in order to grow. now for an exothermic reaction, an example would be coal. the reason why I say this is due to the fact that when coal is absorbing heat it cools down right afterward.
