What is the difference between the temperature of soil and water after six minutes?

Water needs more energy to bring a change in its temperature as compared to soil.

Water is a slow conductor of heat, thus it needs to gain more energy than the sand or dry land in order for its temperature to increase. On the other hand, soil loses its heat much faster. The reason behind it is the specific heat capacity of water that allows it hard to bring a change of 1 degree in its temperature.
