Calcium (ca) melting point: 839 degrees celsius. boiling point: 1484 degrees celsius. density: 1.54g/cm cubed. appearance: calcium is dull gray, but it is shiny when scratched. very soft, good conductor of electricity. it can be used as a reducing agent for preparing other metals, like thorium and uranium, and an alloying agent for aluminum, beryllium, copper, lead, and magnesium alloys. it can be used in cement and mortar, and can be added to things like toothpaste, because calcium does good for the bones/skeletal system.
