Why do scientists need scientific models?

So they can prove there hypothesis is correct or have an understanding.

Because sometimes the real thing is either too big or too small to observe or test, so they need an easily observable model.

I’d have to say no because without oxygen in the water the fish would all be dead. so if you want to fish for dead fish, pick the ponds with the lowest oxygen concentrations.
