For the Hydrolysis lab there were a number of possible electrolytes. One group chose to make a 0.5 M solution of sodium hydroxide while another group chose to make a 0.5 M solution of sodium critrate. Both groups achieved a good ratio of hydrogen gas to oxygen gas, however the sodium hydroxide group produced ~22 mL of hydrogen gas while the citrate group only generated ~6 mL of hydrogen gas. Explain this discrepancy.
