2. Barium sulfate, BaSO4, is not very soluble in water. However, you can force it to dissolve by adding acid: BaSO4 (s) + HCl (aq)  Ba2+ (aq) + HSO4- (aq) + Cl- (aq)
Suppose you have 100.0 g of BaSO4 in a beaker, and you slowly add 500.0 mL of 0.200 M aqueous HCl, mixing well. Will all the BaSO4 dissolve?
