Marvin set up an experiment to see if glucose or starch can move across the cell membrane. He used dialysis tubing and put a glucose solution into
the tubing making a cell. He then put the cell into a starch solution. The
next day he tested both solutions with iodine (detects starch) and
Benedict's solution (detects glucose). Look at the table to see his results.
Is glucose or starch able to move across the cell membrane? Use evidence
from the data. Write your response in a complete sentence.
