The activation energy needed for a reaction to occur is the distance between the top of the hill and where the reactants start. So if you were to read the y-axis at the top of the hill and read the y-axis where the reactants start, all you have to do is subtract those numbers to find the activation energy. If the top of the hill was at 100J and the reactants started at 60J, what would the activation energy be?
