The ingredients of natural selection are there: heredity (genetic traits that give resistance), variation (some bacteria have the resistance; some don't). and differential reproduction (resistant bacteria are more likely to survive and reproduce). The result: the resistant bacteria reproduce and dominate
the population. Would this lead to the evolution of the bacterial population? Why or why not?
