Step 2 N4O10(g) → N2O3(g) + 2NO2(g) + O3(g) Slow
Step 3 N2O3(g) + O3(g) → 2NO2(g) + O2(g) Fast
a. Determine the molecularity of each step.
b. Determine the overall reaction
c. Identify all the intermediates in the reaction.
d. Determine the rate law for the reaction. Show all the steps used to determine your answer.
e. To answer part d, the equation for step 3 was not used. Why is step three not involved in
the answer to part d?
