Activity 2- Arrange Me Direction: Number the sequence of the following steps on how to use and focus the microscope. Use numbers from 1 to 10.

Bring the image into sharper focus by turning to either direction the fine adjustment knob.

To transfer the microscope from the shelf to the table, carry it with two hands. Hold the arm with one hand and place the other hand under the base for support.

Raise the body tube by turning the coarse adjustment knob.

Slowly turn the coarse adjustment knob to move the objective lens up until the image of the object comes into clear focus.

Place the microscope on the table with the arm pointing towards the user.

Check the lighting of the working area and make sure that have enough light to view the specimen.

Turn the coarse adjustment knob carefully to lower the body tube as near as it will go without touching the glass slide. Look at the stage side by side.

Set the LPO in line with the eyepiece or ocular by turning the revolving nosepiece. As you revolve the nosepiece you hear "click" sound indicating that you set it in position.

Place the mounted specimen on the stage. Hold it in place using the stage clip.

With both eyes look through the eyepiece to adjust the light that is passing through the microscope. You can adjust the mirror to reflect the greatest amount of light.
