Elements in the periodic table are arranged in order of increasing atomic number. So as we move from left to right in the periodic table the atomic number of the elements increases.

As one move from left to right along a row of the periodic table, their are other element change that existed this includes

1. Electronegativity : Electronegativity is the ability of an atom to gain electron  in a bond. From the periodic table electronegativity increases from left to right.

2. Ionization Energy : Ionization energy is the energy required to remove electron from an atom or ion. The ionization energy increases from left to right in the periodic table. This is why the noble gases has one of the highest ionization energy.

3. Atomic radius : Atomic radius is the measure of the size of an atom. it measures one half distance between two nuclie of atoms. As the atomic number increases from left to right the atomic radius decreases also.

4. Electron affinity : This the energy required when an electron is added to a gaseous atom.  Generally, electron affinity decreases from left tot right.

5. Metallic nature: Metals forms cations as they lose electron during bonding while non metals forms anion as they gain electron . Metals are good conductor of electricity while non metal does not conduct electricity. Metallic character of elements decrease from left to right
