Explain how the temperature of a substance is related to the kinetic energy of its molecules. every substance is composed of molecules that have kinetic energy. temperature is a measure of the average kinetic energy of molecules in the substance. temperature is measured in units of degrees. as the kinetic energy of molecules increases, temperature also increases, and vice versa.
