Scientific notation is used to write either large numbers or small numbers in a notation form.
The number given is 5 000 000. The decimal place is on the right , we have to move it to the left till the number is from 1-10. When we move the decimal place 6 times the number is 5. Since we moved 6 times to the left it’s 5 multiplied by ten to the power 6.
