The difference between the bridge device and switch device of ethernet technology are as follows:

A ethernet bridge is a device that separates the domain of collision  whereas ethernet's switch device has numerous port in the form of ethernet's bridge.Bridge creates linkage between the two local area networks(LAN) whereas switch works for the data packet switching between the network.Bridges are based on the software technology for their working while hardware technology is used by the switches as their working base.
