In standard dns, the transaction identifier (txid) is a 16-bit random identifier that links a dns query to a dns response. in class, we already discussed how a phenomenon similar to the birthday paradox makes it relatively easy for the attacker to guess the txid of at least one of several dns queries sent by a recursive dns server to a name server as a result of the same number of fake queries submitted by the attacker to the recursive dns server. if the txid size were increased to 32 perfectly random bits, using the same reasoning used in class, calculate how many fake queries and fake responses would the attacker have to submit to the recursive dns server, in order to have a probability of dns cache poisoning success of at least 50%.
