subject

An actuated controller has the following settings on each of two phases, denoted Phase A and Phase B:

Minimum Green: 8 sec
Unit Extension: 3.5 sec
Maximum Green: 20 sec
Yellow: 3 sec
All Red: 2 sec
Recall: A only

Based upon a prior call, Phase A green begins at t = 0. The following arrivals occur at the detectors on the two approaches (all times in cumulative seconds). Using the table below, describe the operation of this signal and how each clock works associated with vehicle actuations. Clearly show when and why the green is transferred between Phase A and Phase B. Hint: check each control clock's time when it starts, resets and ends.
