Often when you get very involved in doing something, and really focus on it in terms of time and effort, you can readily improve your ability. A good example of this might be the ability to do pushups. If you faithfully practice doing pushups, you strengthen your arm muscles, and the number of pushups you are able to do increases, further strengthening your muscles. As soon as you let up on practicing, the cycle begins reversing. Pushups become increasingly hard to do and your arms become increasingly weak. Further, you become discouraged and find it more difficult to force yourself to practice regularly. Using the variables below, show one feedback loop that might explain the two situations descried above:
