3.03 Getting to Know Word Worksheet Part 1: Open Word Processing Program
1. Log onto Office Online with your username and password. Or, open your own word processing program.
2. Select Word then select “Blank Document” to open a new document.

Part 2: Choose a Topic
Choose one of the following options:
1. My favorite activity outside of school
2. My favorite sport or sports team
3. My 10-year plan (where you see yourself in 10 years)
Type a 3–5-sentence paragraph into your blank Word document.

Part 3: Format the Paragraph
Retype your paragraph in the same document. To get full credit, you will need to submit both the unformatted and formatted versions of your paragraph.
Format the second paragraph using the features below. Remember that formatting your document may make it easier to read, help it stand out, or make it appealing to your audience.
1. Change the font type to Calibri (Body) and font size to 11 to change the style and size of your paragraph text.
2. Change the font color of an important word or phrase to red.
3. Underline the title.
4. Bold three important words.
5. Highlight an important sentence or phrase.
6. Using horizontal alignment, center your paragraph on the document.

Part 4: Save Your Work
Don’t forget to save your work. You will submit it for your assessment
